Černi potok
Description:
An interesting route with a succession of alternating pools of emerald green water, technical pitches under the water flow that finish in turbulent pools, jumps, winding and narrow passages, and areas where the riverbed widens.
Cold water with high flow rates (150 l/s).
Beware that the hydrological catchment area is very large with many tributaries feeding the canyon.
Descend this canyon only under stable weather conditions.

Approach to the valley (car park):
From Resiutta follow the provincial road SP 42 of Val Resia that runs along the River Resia. After about 4 km, between a sign that indicates the passing of wild animals and an open space (left), follow the dirt road on the right that leads into the river bed where you can park the car.
Alternatively, you can park in the open space to the left along the main road.
Approach to the canyon (walking):
Cross the stream Resia and follow the clear track up to some houses. A little further along, the path n° 703 starts that leads to the "Casera Rio Nero".
The path climbs steeply along the bank on the orographic left of the Rio Nero up to where it crosses on a wooden bridge.
The bridge crosses over the lower part of the canyon at a distance approximately 1/4 of the descent distance.
To continue to the start of the upper canyon, after the bridge, continue gaining height on a scree slope with steep and tight bends that goes around a headland and a tributary.
Continue uphill through the woods, followed by a slight descent where the path approaches the canyon and from where you can see and hear the first waterfall.
It is recommended that you enter the stream where the riverbed becomes flat, and a resurgence enters from the orographic left.
